I have over 25 years’ experience in marketing, 15 of which have been within the world’s largest advertising group, WPP. In that time I’ve held senior roles leading and growing international businesses, and also supported teams and individuals through the process of change.
Throughout my career, I have had responsibility for motivating, mentoring and developing talented and ambitious people. After realising that my real passion lay in helping people to navigate change, I chose to qualify as a professional executive coach at Henley Business School, before gaining an MSc in Coaching & Behavioural Change.
I first got to know Appleby Associates as a client, when I was seeking help to steer a new course in my own career. I was impressed by the integrity of the services offered and the level of support and challenge provided. The approach enabled me to look at my situation through a new lens and ultimately gave me the confidence to move towards building a viable and satisfying portfolio career.
My own period of transition has certainly helped me to empathise with others who are in the process of career change. My coaching style creates a safe and thought-provoking space for clients to reflect and gain new perspectives. Clients comment that my approach, combined with my knowledge of corporate dynamics, is particularly useful in keeping focus on outcomes and the strategies needed to achieve these.
